Thomas Ross Collection

The Thomas Ross collection is something of a legend in the art trade comprising what is thought to be the world’s largest single collection of engraved copper steel “intaglio” printing plates. 

The majority of plates in the collection are in excess of one hundred years old and some examples date back to the early 1700’s providing the firm with an artistic heritage that now spans four centuries.

Subjects in the collection include historical portraits, maritime  subjects, animals, sporting,   gentle landscapes depicting a bygone age and beyond.

Many of the engravings in the collection adorn the walls of High Class hotels, Castles and Stately Homes as well as the private homes of some of the most discerning collectors of fine art.

We have shown here a very small selection of engravings  which are currently available.

Engravings can be supplied unframed or framed.
